Clippers vs Grizzlies: Game One
Clippers win: 98-99 (Clippers lead 1-0)
Phenomenal. Not many other ways to describe the Clippers twenty seven point comeback to beat the Memphis Grizzlies and steal back homecourt advantage. Nick Young was huge off the bench and down the stretch as he hit 3 threes in a minute to bridge the gap between the teams. He had 19 to lead the Clippers while Chris Paul was the floor general he always is with 14 points and 11 assists as well as cooly knocking down the game winning free throws.
Rudy Gay had 19 points on the night as well, but missed his chance to win the game in front of a packed FedEx Forum. Guy drove to the left on forward Kenyon Martin, but Martin beat him to the spot, forcing a difficult shot from Gay. The shot bounced off the front of the rim and the once rowdy crowd fell silent as a stunned Grizzlies team made their way back to the lockerroom. Clippers were everywhere as they celebrated the incredibily unlikely win, their shouts of triump loud and clear as the crowd trudged out.
This could very well be seen as the turning oint of the series. This is the type of win a team can carry on throughout an entire series and could very well shape the rest of the way in this one
