9/4/2012-Melo hits gamewinner as the Celts flog the Sixers
Carmel Anthony knocked down the long three over Luol Deng to lead the the Knicks to a OT win over the Bulls, despite Derrick Rose’s return. Rose looked rusty in his return, shooting poorly on his way to 29 points. Carmel Anthony had a season high 43 points as he led the Knicks to an important win.
The Boston Celtics continued their high of late with a big win against the Philadelphia 76ers, winning 79-103. The Sixer’s form has only been getting worse since the All Star break, and appear to be slumping at the wrong time of the year.
Atawn Jamison’s 34 points were not enough to lift he Cavs over the Nets as they lost in overtime. Gerald Green had 32 points off the bench including a couple of sky scraping dunks to lead the Nets. Deron Williams also had 18 points and 10 assists to help get the Nets over the line.
Despite Dwyane Wade’s continued absence, LeBron James and Chris Bosh proved enough for the Detroit Pistons as the Heat won 98-75. LeBron had 26 points to lead the Heat while James Jones had 18 points off the bench on 6-8 shooting from down town. Brandon Knight had 16 to lead the Pisons
Tony Parker had 28 points while Manu Ginobli had 22 off then bench as the San Antonio Spurs triumphed of the Utah Jazz. Devin Harris had 18 points to lead the Jazz in the loss.
The Big Three for Oklahoma City Thunder all scored in double figures as the Thunder beat the Toronto Raptors. Kevin Durant lead the Thunder with 23 points while James Harden had 17 points off the bench.
Courtney Lee had 23 points as the Houston Rockets took care of business against the Sacramento Kings as Courtney Lee had 25 points to lead all comers. Terrence Williams had 21 to lead the Kings.
